However, it seemed to be the directors discretion for the clouds to not rain on us and we opened immediately at sunset. I think there were a couple exposures that didn't get completely clouded out....maybe. There was no such luck with the second program. Skies were somewhat clear but the humidity was just too high to open. They threw in the towel around midnight when there wasn't enough time to observe. And then a miracle occurred! The humidity started dropping to levels safe enough to open and open we did! Clouds became pretty bad towards the end of the night and we gave up at 5am. The left dome door is producing an odd clunking sound when opening and closing and I sent a PR. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:54 dcamera 268( 580) 202 59 11.5 12.0 12.3 12.1 11.4 -- 0.99 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 66 52 11 217 (SW) 202 ptly cldy none 17:00 61 49 11 241 (WSW) 187 mstly cldy humid 18:00 57 49 8 268 (W) 176 mstly cldy humid 19:00 56 50 4 264 (W) 247 mstly cldy humid 20:00 54 51 2 225 (SW) mstly cldy humid 21:00 52 50 12 80 (E) mstly cldy humid 22:00 51 50 11 79 (E) ptly cldy humid 23:00 50 49 12 79 (E) ptly cldy humid 00:00 51 48 4 109 (ESE) mstly clr humid 01:00 53 48 3 238 (WSW) mstly clr humid 02:00 52 48 5 199 (SSW) ptly cldy humid 03:00 52 48 3 226 (SW) cloudy humid 04:00 52 49 3 205 (SSW) cloudy humid 05:00 52 48 3 200 (SSW) cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
