Things cleared up around us enough that we were able to open at 22:40. Seeing was poor to moderate all night with clouds periodically rolling in. Kevin Schlaufman finished his third night of training and is now certified to observe remotely. The NICFPS LN2 dewar hose broke during afternoon fills (however, it is still functional for the time being) and I sent a problem report. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:51 dcamera 133( 807) -67 25 15.8 18.5 19.1 18.2 17.3 -- 1.98 23:20 APOLLO 450( 1933) 29 40 17.6 17.0 17.6 16.9 16.9 530 1.70 00:22 dcamera 444( 1005) -92 56 17.2 16.8 17.4 16.9 16.9 -- 1.30 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 76 32 5 275 (W) 637 ptly cldy none 17:00 79 33 13 257 (WSW) 552 ptly cldy none 18:00 76 33 10 325 (NW) 504 ptly cldy none 19:00 72 30 5 259 (W) 512 mstly cldy none 20:00 71 28 8 280 (W) 438 mstly cldy none 21:00 63 41 18 142 (SE) 1488 mstly cldy none 22:00 62 40 6 121 (ESE) 1357 ptly cldy none 23:00 62 40 17 146 (SE) 1039 clear none 00:00 63 39 16 177 (S) 1127 mstly clr none 01:00 63 39 14 172 (S) 1271 mstly clr none 02:00 61 41 13 182 (S) 2727 clear none 03:00 61 40 13 205 (SSW) 2351 clear none 04:00 61 40 10 182 (S) 2542 ptly cldy none 05:00 59 40 8 190 (S) 2333 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
