The rain and clouds cleared out by 22:30, and we risked an opening. Unfortunately, by 0100, humidty had begun to spike. Unlike last night, the humidity stubbornly remained on the high end, above safe limits for several hours, precluding any chance of opening. The night was called 30 minutes before sunrise, with no hope of opening and getting data in the time remaining. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:57 arctic 650( 1308) 42 49 13.4 15.6 16.1 15.4 14.9 UNM657 0.97 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 53 46 12 90 (E) 975 cloudy rain 17:00 58 49 11 179 (S) 475 cloudy rain 18:00 56 51 13 92 (E) 818 cloudy none 19:00 59 47 10 183 (S) 547 cloudy none 20:00 58 43 13 176 (S) 249 cloudy none 21:00 57 47 8 187 (S) 668 cloudy none 22:00 57 50 10 194 (SSW) 815 ptly cldy none 23:00 56 48 6 187 (S) 738 ptly cldy none 00:00 55 52 13 189 (S) ptly cldy none 01:00 54 52 1 222 (SW) ptly cldy humid 02:00 54 51 5 188 (S) ptly cldy humid 03:00 55 52 4 193 (SSW) ptly cldy humid 04:00 55 52 4 201 (SSW) ptly cldy humid 05:00 55 52 6 188 (S) ptly cldy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
