It was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness. It was the epoc of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity. It was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness. It was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair. We had everything before us, we had nothing before us. The night started out with heavy thunderstorms, lightning all around us, thought it never rained. It was the worst. CU05 was not able to observe at all. And then, suddenly, a light of hope! In a matter of minutes, all the clouds cleared and we were able to open. Only to bring out a season of darkness and despair. ARCTIC filter wheel and diffuser were not responding. I contacted Bill and Russet and we were able to fix the problem but it took time, not the best of times. But with a spring of hope, we leapt onto sky to find, to our disbelief, the seeing was near 0.5"! While CU06 had only minutes left, NM04, in its great wisdom, donated some time to CU06. Arctic required a "arctic filter connect" and "arctic filter home." The wiki has been updated. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CU06 R I/S 23:40 00:43 Arctic filter wheel actor not responding ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:49 arctic 500( 1128) -20 34 14.4 14.8 15.5 14.8 14.6 UNM-551 0.58 00:45 tcamera 672( 1298) -158 56 13.6 14.1 14.8 14.0 13.9 -- 1.01 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 63 49 3 188 (S) 636 cloudy none 17:00 64 48 6 191 (S) 619 cloudy none 18:00 66 49 6 211 (SSW) 609 cloudy none 19:00 62 47 9 146 (SE) 564 cloudy none 20:00 60 48 9 115 (ESE) 605 cloudy none 21:00 58 49 12 142 (SE) 704 cloudy none 22:00 55 50 9 185 (S) 623 cloudy none 23:00 56 50 9 171 (S) clear none 00:00 58 47 14 175 (S) 587 clear none 01:00 58 49 10 184 (S) 696 ptly cldy none 02:00 58 49 3 205 (SSW) 593 clear humid 03:00 57 49 3 250 (WSW) 710 clear humid 04:00 57 45 6 285 (WNW) 453 clear none 05:00 57 44 1 311 (NW) 355 clear humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
