We were able to open before sunset and stay open all night. The visiting instrument observed four planets, but ran out of targets before morning twilight, so I took the last hour to check collimation with the Shack-Hartmann. It's unusual to get an opportunity to use Shack with the telescope fully cooled down. I did not make any changes to the collimation. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:55 naic 367( 1609) 3 48 16.5 17.3 17.8 17.1 17.0 600 0.80 04:34 shack 725( 1724) 121 61 14.7 14.7 15.3 14.7 14.7 - 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 64 42 11 81 (E) 142 ptly cldy none 17:00 72 40 5 254 (WSW) 361 ptly cldy none 18:00 66 43 10 148 (SSE) 242 ptly cldy none 19:00 65 41 10 131 (SE) 371 mstly clr none 20:00 63 43 13 146 (SE) 398 mstly clr none 21:00 62 43 18 133 (SE) 467 mstly clr none 22:00 63 42 14 151 (SSE) 560 mstly clr none 23:00 61 42 13 117 (ESE) 649 ptly cldy none 00:00 63 42 12 145 (SE) 600 ptly cldy none 01:00 59 40 18 133 (SE) 1062 ptly cldy none 02:00 59 40 15 155 (SSE) 941 mstly clr none 03:00 60 38 15 180 (S) 997 clear none 04:00 58 40 15 181 (S) 853 clear none 05:00 58 41 16 153 (SSE) 642 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
