PAO was able to observe multiple science targets down to the diffraction limit of 0.1 arcsec. (!!) ARCSAT was having trouble again, which was very sad on such a nice night. But this time, with some help from my husband, Bill and I were able to determine that it's a real problem and not just that I was too busy to spend time in the other dome. If the problem is a blown fuse it might be fixed tomorrow; if it requires parts to be ordered, ARCSAT might be down for a few days. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 76 30 5 264 (W) 655 clear none 17:00 71 30 7 270 (W) 602 clear none 18:00 72 29 16 294 (WNW) 697 clear none 19:00 70 28 12 280 (W) 724 clear none 20:00 67 27 7 270 (W) 729 clear none 21:00 66 28 2 244 (WSW) 768 clear none 22:00 65 29 8 197 (SSW) 711 clear none 23:00 62 30 4 250 (WSW) 833 clear none 00:00 64 28 7 257 (WSW) 867 clear none 01:00 64 27 9 264 (W) 978 clear none 02:00 63 27 8 306 (NW) 820 clear none 03:00 64 27 7 273 (W) 840 clear none 04:00 63 26 9 281 (W) 809 clear none 05:00 61 28 13 292 (WNW) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
