A gorgeous anvil that stayed right on the edge of safety. So, I decided not to open until it had drifted safely to the south. After that, we had clear skies, excellent seeing, calm winds, and an all around good night. We should have near by thunderstorms more often. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:09 ecamera 311( 61) 187 63 16.7 17.7 17.7 17.6 17.1 ND3 0.68 00:13 ecamera 377( 9) 90 44 14.7 15.1 15.7 15.0 15.0 ND1 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 66 38 12 301 (WNW) 563 ptly cldy none 17:00 69 38 8 264 (W) 671 ptly cldy none 18:00 66 35 15 286 (WNW) 809 ptly cldy none 19:00 63 36 13 276 (W) 790 ptly cldy none 20:00 62 37 6 266 (W) 732 mstly clr none 21:00 61 36 4 261 (W) 818 mstly clr none 22:00 61 36 8 250 (WSW) 842 mstly clr none 23:00 60 37 6 241 (WSW) 791 clear none 00:00 60 37 8 234 (SW) 744 clear none 01:00 60 37 8 260 (W) 778 clear none 02:00 60 35 5 243 (WSW) 706 clear none 03:00 61 35 7 232 (SW) 681 clear none 04:00 60 37 7 202 (SSW) 769 clear none 05:00 60 35 8 219 (SW) 877 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
