The storm dissipated by 00:30, and did not reach us. We attempted an opening at 00:40. We were able to stay open until roughly 03:00, at which point another thunderstorm came from the north and surrounded us on all sides (but not directly over us ironically). Nonetheless, we could hear nearby thunder and stayed closed. By 03:45 our observers gave up, not having enough remaining time nor hope of data. Ecam behaved well enough for guiding tonight, but agile needed a clock reset during checkout. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:44 ecamera 308( 87) 11 61 16.9 18.2 18.7 18.3 17.8 ND3 1.39 01:29 arctic 523( 1260) 8 57 16.3 17.3 17.8 17.2 17.0 SDSS-r 1.29 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 72 46 7 212 (SSW) 805 ptly cldy none 17:00 73 45 6 179 (S) 759 ptly cldy none 18:00 74 45 2 202 (SSW) 770 cloudy none 19:00 71 42 5 146 (SE) 753 cloudy none 20:00 69 39 7 166 (SSE) 685 cloudy none 21:00 68 39 10 156 (SSE) 735 cloudy none 22:00 65 42 13 125 (SE) 1137 cloudy none 23:00 64 41 8 106 (ESE) 1275 mstly cldy none 00:00 63 42 15 141 (SE) 1365 ptly cldy none 01:00 62 43 14 135 (SE) 1636 ptly cldy none 02:00 60 43 8 117 (ESE) 1577 ptly cldy none 03:00 63 39 12 131 (SE) 1243 cloudy none 04:00 63 38 13 129 (SE) 1054 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
