Second half the radar returns didn't look real anymore, but I hesitated over whether the clouds were thin enough. By the time I re-opened the clouds got thicker. I was able to focus but we didn't even try any science exposures, so I counted all that time as lost. Sprinkles began just as I closed the dome. I had trouble with the mirror covers failing to open at high altitude, but they succeeded on retry. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:24 ecamera 494( 140) 13 74 12.4 15.8 15.0 15.5 15.1 ND2 1.02 04:08 dcamera 541( 830) 253 40 10.9 11.3 11.6 11.4 11.2 - 1.03 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 57 36 10 257 (WSW) 677 ptly cldy none 17:00 61 36 10 259 (W) 647 ptly cldy none 18:00 62 36 8 245 (WSW) 467 ptly cldy none 19:00 58 36 7 259 (W) 565 ptly cldy none 20:00 55 35 1 260 (W) 501 ptly cldy none 21:00 54 36 3 307 (NW) 537 mstly cldy none 22:00 54 38 5 264 (W) 553 mstly cldy none 23:00 52 40 13 25 (NNE) 764 mstly cldy none 00:00 49 39 14 64 (ENE) 424 mstly cldy none 01:00 49 38 11 77 (ENE) 260 ptly cldy none 02:00 51 38 1 100 (E) 413 ptly cldy none 03:00 53 37 4 294 (WNW) 271 ptly cldy none 04:00 52 38 1 325 (NW) 351 mstly cldy lt rain Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
