It seemed there was a storm at every cardinal direction and each were coming right for us! Somehow, and I don't understand how, everything swung around us or passed over quickly. It made for some pretty terrible seeing at the beginning of the night but things got better after midnight. There was a spot of clouds but the rain never got too close. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:00 arctic 900( 1710) 127 53 16.5 18.7 19.8 17.9 17.3 sdss-r 2.56 22:00 arctic 708( 1358) 147 71 16.2 15.8 16.7 15.6 15.7 sdss-r 1.74 00:21 ecamera 468( 171) 126 75 18.3 16.9 17.7 16.9 17.1 ND2 0.96 01:58 ecamera 470( 206) 196 77 19.2 17.5 18.1 17.5 18.1 clear 1.07 01:58 ecamera 470( 206) 196 77 19.2 17.5 18.1 17.5 18.1 clear 1.07 03:47 APOLLO 450( 1991) 74 50 18.7 18.2 18.8 18.5 18.3 530 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 79 36 7 181 (S) 7160 clear none 17:00 79 37 8 213 (SSW) 5680 clear none 18:00 78 44 10 202 (SSW) 2660 clear none 19:00 73 42 7 238 (WSW) 2139 clear none 20:00 65 49 15 78 (ENE) 1081 clear none 21:00 62 49 15 74 (ENE) 1287 clear none 22:00 60 49 15 79 (E) 1516 clear none 23:00 62 47 3 69 (ENE) 1846 clear none 00:00 66 45 4 258 (WSW) 1817 clear none 01:00 66 41 6 262 (W) 1869 mstly clr none 02:00 65 42 6 268 (W) 1730 ptly cldy none 03:00 66 39 6 307 (NW) 1528 ptly cldy none 04:00 66 39 5 352 (N) 1315 clear none 05:00 65 38 7 340 (NNW) 1372 clear none 06:00 65 39 7 346 (NNW) 1419 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
