We started with an instrument block for the UL quadrant of ARCTIC. Was slow going, mostly due to user inexperience. Finished one quad by 23:15. Started a pointing model at about 00:00. Pointing was good, implemented the new model. Performed a throughput test with the two stars not done yesterday. Was not able to create a directory under the 'keep' subdirectory, so the data is still in Q2APO/UT170614. Finished by 04:30. Night stayed clear and still through dawn. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:56 arctic_ul 605( 1348) 24 55 16.0 17.4 17.5 17.3 16.7 SDSS-r 1.14 03:18 dcamera 592( 1052) 90 63 15.6 14.9 15.7 14.9 14.9 - 1.04 04:37 APOLLO 425( 1754) -40 61 15.7 14.3 14.9 14.2 14.4 530 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 69 25 27 257 (WSW) 809 clear none 17:00 67 24 14 245 (WSW) 778 clear none 18:00 68 25 16 256 (WSW) 632 clear none 19:00 66 22 18 268 (W) 672 clear none 20:00 62 17 19 250 (WSW) 650 clear none 21:00 61 17 10 238 (WSW) 549 clear none 22:00 62 18 14 263 (W) 526 clear none 23:00 61 18 9 258 (WSW) 556 clear none 00:00 57 16 6 251 (WSW) 537 clear none 01:00 60 16 6 287 (WNW) 545 clear none 02:00 60 16 9 287 (WNW) 628 clear none 03:00 61 17 7 261 (W) 830 clear none 04:00 58 12 5 260 (W) 1083 clear none 05:00 60 15 8 313 (NW) 1240 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
