I thought we were suppose to be clouded out tonight but we started the night clear. However, two system converged on us, one from the west another from the east. Clouds started popping up very quickly and there were radar hits so I decided to close at 22:07. While it never rained, it did stay cloudy for several hours. We were able to reopen at 01:42 under completely clear skies. Poor Kristie, maybe Melissa wasn't the cursed observer after all... No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:31 arctic 816( 1227) -32 56 14.0 14.8 15.1 14.8 14.6 sdss-r 1.03 01:16 arctic 662( 859) -17 56 8.8 10.6 11.0 10.4 10.2 sdss-r 1.24 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 62 20 29 201 (SSW) 865 clear none 17:00 61 18 23 189 (S) 879 clear none 18:00 64 20 22 199 (SSW) 785 clear none 19:00 61 17 21 194 (SSW) 719 clear none 20:00 57 14 14 165 (SSE) 813 mstly clr none 21:00 58 11 21 181 (S) 794 ptly cldy none 22:00 56 11 17 155 (SSE) 741 mstly cldy none 23:00 57 12 8 150 (SSE) 848 mstly cldy none 00:00 52 12 3 185 (S) 1403 mstly cldy none 01:00 52 12 6 191 (S) 1439 ptly cldy none 02:00 49 19 8 290 (WNW) 2078 clear none 03:00 48 22 8 271 (W) 2058 clear none 04:00 46 25 9 324 (NW) 2951 clear none 05:00 46 24 10 307 (NW) 2491 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
