APOLLO struggled pitifully against the bad seeing, getting no more photons than Count Count could handle. Observations for the second program were more successful since the targets were extended, but the observer had internet trouble and so ended up observing more or less by phone. During second half conditions were marginally better, but humidity rose as the morning progressed and by twilight it was pretty close to the limit. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:14 APOLLO 550( 1932) -101 41 10.5 14.9 14.9 14.9 13.3 530 2.50 20:50 APOLLO 350( 1622) -95 27 9.9 12.4 12.9 11.7 11.2 530 3.50 21:18 dcamera 617( 904) -122 64 9.9 11.4 12.1 10.8 10.7 - 1.99 01:11 dcamera 582( 708) -94 81 8.6 8.5 9.3 8.6 8.5 - 1.68 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 63 22 11 232 (SW) 1159 mstly clr none 17:00 66 20 5 262 (W) 1489 mstly clr none 18:00 62 18 9 262 (W) 1272 mstly clr none 19:00 59 18 7 358 (N) 1243 clear none 20:00 51 33 2 140 (SE) 659 clear none 21:00 50 32 15 78 (ENE) 615 clear none 22:00 50 33 22 76 (ENE) 692 clear none 23:00 49 33 16 83 (E) 680 clear none 00:00 49 33 20 76 (ENE) 717 clear none 01:00 48 34 24 78 (ENE) 881 clear none 02:00 47 35 18 80 (E) 891 clear none 03:00 45 36 23 83 (E) 835 clear none 04:00 45 38 14 89 (E) 770 clear humid 05:00 44 39 20 81 (E) clear humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
