Wind stayed a bit high but we were able to stay open and had moderate seeing. We have a new minion trainee from UW who is learning the ropes quickly and is basically trained in one night! But decided to stick around a few more days for obs. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:54 arctic 660( 1295) 91 57 14.6 15.4 15.7 15.0 14.9 sdss-u 1.22 22:19 arctic 670( 1198) 96 74 13.4 13.4 14.1 13.4 13.4 sdss-u 1.13 01:22 dcamera 513( 828) 262 68 11.8 12.1 12.8 12.3 12.1 -- 1.13 01:47 dcamera 593( 896) 301 51 11.3 11.7 12.3 11.7 11.6 -- 1.55 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 67 23 21 239 (WSW) 921 mstly clr none 17:00 66 24 25 232 (SW) 1107 mstly clr none 18:00 63 23 20 266 (W) 1005 mstly clr none 19:00 63 18 32 254 (WSW) 1403 mstly clr none 20:00 59 20 22 255 (WSW) 1152 mstly clr none 21:00 58 19 21 248 (WSW) 1093 clear none 22:00 57 19 19 233 (SW) 1016 clear none 23:00 56 21 19 249 (WSW) 906 clear none 00:00 56 21 19 251 (WSW) 987 clear none 01:00 55 18 13 266 (W) 4450 clear none 02:00 54 17 17 256 (WSW) 5424 clear none 03:00 52 17 20 248 (WSW) 2773 clear none 04:00 50 16 17 248 (WSW) 1825 clear none 05:00 50 17 21 261 (W) 1527 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
