We were not able to do slew tests on account of the wind. High dust and winds plagued us until 23:00, when they started to drop off. About 23:15 we heard what seemed to be thunder, and smelled rain on the air, this coupled with radar returns kept us closed. Around 01:00 things got better. Dust, wind and humidity dropped. S.Tuttle fell ill, so DD02 took over UW06's shift. A patch of precispitation appeared on the radar closing fast, so we closed at 02:10. Even after the echoes passed, it remained too cloudy to open. DD02 called it by 4:00, the transit egress having passed. There were no observerd brownouts or power failures tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:11 arctic 681( 583) 123 37 1.1 4.6 6.7 4.3 3.4 SDSS-r 1.87 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 51 25 32 252 (WSW) 4933 mstly cldy dust 17:00 52 26 24 248 (WSW) 7394 mstly cldy dust 18:00 51 25 38 284 (WNW) 3680 mstly cldy dust 19:00 48 26 36 282 (WNW) 3453 mstly cldy dust 20:00 47 27 31 272 (W) 2982 mstly cldy dust 21:00 46 27 20 267 (W) 6789 mstly cldy dust 22:00 44 26 26 294 (WNW) 7158 mstly cldy dust 23:00 39 30 17 337 (NNW) 6174 mstly cldy none 00:00 36 30 11 359 (N) 2175 ptly cldy none 01:00 34 25 31 348 (NNW) 1501 ptly cldy none 02:00 34 21 12 26 (NNE) 1141 mstly cldy none 03:00 33 16 9 339 (NNW) 629 mstly cldy none 04:00 32 17 18 9 (N) 568 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
