The humidity tried to attack us right from the getgo but we were determined. The wind was high, the seeing made us practically blind to all, the cold bit into us, but we came in force. We contemplated closing. We were warned. We were given an explanation. Nevertheless, we persisted! We marched along the bowl of the sky in protest of the humidity, singing our science chant: "BILL! BILL! BILL! BILL!" It air was thick but our determination was stronger! We closed at 03:06 due to high humidity but we sung our chant strong and true and reopned at 03:58! No problems tonight…except that I saw the first moth of the season in the dome. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:27 dcamera 1022( 809) -6 80 2.2 5.7 6.3 5.4 11.8 -- 3.60 22:58 dcamera 940( 487) 142 59 0.9 0.9 1.5 1.1 11.8 -- 3.50 00:19 dcamera 839( 350) 163 80 0.1 0.4 1.0 0.5 11.8 -- 3.30 03:05 dcamera 834( 287) 274 80 1.7 -0.8 -0.2 -0.7 11.8 -- 1.92 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 50 30 5 291 (WNW) 1031 clear none 17:00 50 28 2 270 (W) 991 clear none 18:00 52 32 4 260 (W) 806 clear none 19:00 44 31 11 81 (E) 475 clear humid 20:00 37 30 18 70 (ENE) 318 clear humid 21:00 36 29 21 68 (ENE) 386 clear humid 22:00 34 28 23 76 (ENE) 466 clear humid 23:00 34 27 25 74 (ENE) 562 clear none 00:00 34 27 23 75 (ENE) 565 clear none 01:00 33 27 20 67 (ENE) 543 clear none 02:00 31 27 22 73 (ENE) clear humid 03:00 30 27 19 71 (ENE) clear humid 04:00 32 27 6 85 (E) clear humid 05:00 39 34 2 217 (SW) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
