It continued to stay that way until after midnight. It finally cleared up near 1am and AD02 was able to take some observations. At it's Melissa's last observation. We'll miss you! UW01 received way too many photons and decided they had way too much good data to bother with observing during twilight time so...rather than go to bed early, I saw the opportunity to grab a few Venus spectra to monitor the oxygen green line. I updated the observing log accordingly. No problems tonight. ======== This one goes out to Melissa Brucker, who spent far too many long nights logged onto TUI. And since I missed all the Garth Brooks concerts in La Cruces this weekend, I figured that we should send Melissa off with a country classic. For the record, I did NOT sleep in until 6pm. Six o'clock on Monday evening Russet doesn't know she's sleeping 'Til she hears the main door slamming Rubber squealin', Gray's a-jamming Local country station just a blaring on the radio Inst set up at seven and they're signing on from Chicago Russet's on the new phone screamin' out her warning Girl you better get your red head Back in thread before the morning Nine o'clock the hope is ending But the clouds are just beginning She knows they're anticipating But she's gonna keep 'em waiting Grab a bite to eat And then they're headed into ARCTIC time But flat cals and line dis-ing Just ain't what they really want Turn on to the Netflix and park down in a seat And where it's sit'n wait 'til real late And sighin' weak and bleak Ain't closin' down 'til the sun comes up Ain't givin' in 'til we get enough (photons) Going 'round the sky with some photon luck Ain't closin' down 'til the sun comes up Ten 'til twelve Melissa's packin' Midnight starts the hard collapsing One o'clock that sky is rocking Two is coming, still no stopping Break to check the clock at three They're right on where they want to be Four o'clock get up and going Five o'clock that rooster's crowing Ain't closin' down 'til the sun comes up Ain't givin' in 'til they get enough (photons) Going 'round the sky with some photon luck Ain't closin' down 'til the sun comes up ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:55 arctic 725( 766) -80 51 7.1 7.5 7.9 7.6 7.5 sdss-r 1.75 01:24 ecamera 836( -385) 3 58 6.4 6.4 7.0 6.3 6.3 ND2 1.66 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 50 7 8 259 (W) 1390 mstly cldy none 17:00 51 7 7 197 (SSW) 1480 mstly cldy none 18:00 51 6 7 250 (WSW) 1522 cloudy none 19:00 48 2 5 186 (S) 1592 cloudy none 20:00 47 2 6 189 (S) 1551 cloudy none 21:00 48 2 11 181 (S) 2364 cloudy none 22:00 47 2 9 161 (SSE) cloudy none 23:00 47 2 10 181 (S) 2428 cloudy none 00:00 46 2 8 177 (S) 2399 mstly cldy none 01:00 45 -1 11 155 (SSE) 2185 clear none 02:00 43 5 11 133 (SE) clear none 03:00 43 9 4 168 (SSE) 2452 clear none 04:00 43 8 7 175 (S) 2287 clear none 05:00 41 7 9 194 (SSW) 2226 clear none 06:00 43 12 7 179 (S) 2319 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
