Wind, clouds, rain. We opened on time but barely glimpsed Mercury before he hid behind the clouds. UW01 tried their best to see some stars, but they were thwarted shortly after their program started by sudden forming rain and we closed at 21:12. DD01 never had a chance. Their objects were faint and the clouds, rain, and wind wouldn't let up. They called it near 5am. No problems tonight ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:37 dcamera 732( 762) 259 23 7.9 9.8 9.6 9.9 9.3 -- 1.52 19:22 ecamera 902( -215) 251 69 7.7 8.6 8.8 8.6 8.1 ND3 1.15 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 53 20 14 240 (WSW) 979 mstly clr none 17:00 50 18 15 257 (WSW) 927 mstly clr none 18:00 50 17 24 222 (SW) 835 mstly clr none 19:00 47 16 28 221 (SW) 1084 ptly cldy none 20:00 46 16 19 197 (SSW) 974 mstly cldy none 21:00 46 18 18 196 (SSW) 1016 cloudy none 22:00 47 18 15 232 (SW) 1005 cloudy lt rain 23:00 47 18 25 219 (SW) 933 cloudy lt rain 00:00 46 19 16 241 (WSW) 967 cloudy lt rain 01:00 41 31 22 239 (WSW) 575 cloudy lt rain 02:00 42 25 17 265 (W) 1725 cloudy none 03:00 39 27 13 267 (W) 1429 cloudy none 04:00 39 28 16 211 (SSW) 935 cloudy lt rain Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
