The scope's altitude axis got lost. After consulting with Russet and Fritz, we reset the scope to a known altitude and carried on. No sky time was lost. CU03 let the previous program run a little longer. The skies varied as clouds moved in, from mostly clear to partly cloudy. Clouds and haze thickened after 02:00. They thinned again and CU03 was able to get their data. They logged off early, and AP01 started setting up early. All programs ran, no one was shut out. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:35 arctic 700( 1021) -4 58 10.8 13.1 13.0 13.8 12.5 SDSS-i 0.76 00:30 dcamera 758( 743) 58 79 9.2 9.7 10.3 9.8 9.7 - 1.10 05:43 APOLLO 670( 1527) -21 46 8.3 8.8 9.3 8.8 8.8 530 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 57 14 10 286 (WNW) 228 mstly clr none 17:00 57 12 12 264 (W) 216 mstly clr none 18:00 59 14 7 267 (W) 236 mstly clr none 19:00 52 10 9 265 (W) 233 ptly cldy none 20:00 51 9 8 265 (W) 220 ptly cldy none 21:00 51 10 11 263 (W) 236 ptly cldy none 22:00 51 12 11 242 (WSW) 415 mstly clr none 23:00 50 13 13 264 (W) 423 mstly clr none 00:00 50 10 11 258 (WSW) 333 mstly clr none 01:00 50 6 14 260 (W) 229 mstly clr none 02:00 49 5 15 256 (WSW) 224 ptly cldy none 03:00 49 5 9 265 (W) 268 ptly cldy none 04:00 50 5 14 281 (W) 231 mstly clr none 05:00 48 4 12 280 (W) 210 mstly clr none 06:00 48 4 7 289 (WNW) 137 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
