Rotator was zeroed with a value of -0.15 Az axis controller was reset. -DIS- Contamination test: contamination is visible on the red side but not the blue side. Levels of contamination are very low. Focus was adjusted for the red and blue camera by a moderate amount. We tried to take some spectra of bright IR planetary nebulae but were unsuccessful. I suspect this may be due to an error in my position. —Tomorrow tasks — Pointing model Arctic tracking Shutter test DIS throughput NICFPS spectra ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:18 ecamera 871( -286) -56 46 7.3 7.5 8.1 7.6 7.5 ND1 1.27 22:44 dcamera 883( 646) 151 78 6.6 5.3 5.9 5.5 5.7 -- 1.04 23:17 dcamera 818( 603) 182 80 7.0 5.8 6.2 6.0 6.2 -- 1.23 04:15 NICFPS 813( 1051) 63 73 5.4 4.8 5.4 4.8 4.9 MK-J 0.88 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 50 18 9 266 (W) 1046 clear none 17:00 48 18 11 285 (WNW) 858 clear none 18:00 48 17 3 263 (W) 895 clear none 19:00 44 18 5 255 (WSW) 815 mstly clr none 20:00 42 18 9 264 (W) 911 mstly clr none 21:00 42 18 10 265 (W) 846 ptly cldy none 22:00 43 18 10 266 (W) 1043 ptly cldy none 23:00 44 18 10 290 (WNW) 1304 mstly clr none 00:00 44 18 12 298 (WNW) 1416 mstly clr none 01:00 44 18 13 292 (WNW) 1361 mstly clr none 02:00 44 18 13 309 (NW) 1412 mstly cldy none 03:00 43 18 12 311 (NW) 1403 mstly cldy none 04:00 42 18 13 321 (NW) 1507 mstly cldy none 05:00 42 18 8 319 (NW) 1513 clear none 06:00 44 18 7 354 (N) 715 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
