Russet then checked telescope collimation again tonight and also worked on the secondary mirror controllers. After the mirror adjustments we did another 100 point pointing model. Russet worked on some ARCTIC shutter tests/parameters. Implemented the pointing model Russet said pointing on NA2 looked good. Checked pointing on NA1, looked good. Fixed boresight for the Echelle (it was a little low on the slit). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:19 NICFPS 829( 1377) 3 64 9.6 10.8 10.3 10.6 10.4 J 0.61 23:24 arctic 766( 887) 26 51 9.2 9.1 9.7 9.0 9.1 sdss_r 1.05 23:46 shack 866( 1375) 63 61 9.2 9.0 9.6 9.0 9.0 -- 1.00 02:04 guider 904( 989) 5 62 9.5 8.6 9.1 8.5 8.8 B 1.10 04:27 arctic 791( 892) -26 54 9.7 8.8 9.3 8.9 9.2 sdss_r 0.73 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 52 26 10 235 (SW) ptly cldy none 17:00 52 22 9 231 (SW) ptly cldy none 18:00 47 20 6 251 (WSW) ptly cldy none 19:00 50 12 10 240 (WSW) ptly cldy none 20:00 51 11 9 261 (W) ptly cldy none 21:00 51 9 11 255 (WSW) ptly cldy none 22:00 50 12 14 210 (SSW) ptly cldy none 23:00 49 18 10 188 (S) ptly cldy none 00:00 47 19 11 229 (SW) ptly cldy none 01:00 47 22 14 239 (WSW) ptly cldy none 02:00 49 18 10 229 (SW) ptly cldy none 03:00 49 15 10 227 (SW) mstly clr none 04:00 49 21 10 257 (WSW) clear none 05:00 48 24 9 264 (W) clear none 06:00 48 22 5 263 (W) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
