Everyone was able to observe their targets! You get a photon! YOU get a photon! EVERYONE gets a photon! Russet rocked at leading UW04's NICFPS observations with the GRISM option and scanning over Venus. We now have a better feel for the GRISM capabilities. We had a carousel of instruments tonight and everyone collected good data. Seeing was moderate and strong winds picked up during the last 2 hours before sunrise but we were able to stay open. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:22 NICFPS 1150( 1331) 240 72 2.0 3.7 3.1 4.2 3.7 MK-H 0.72 20:19 NICFPS 814( 908) 284 66 2.0 1.9 2.3 1.9 1.9 MK-K 1.27 22:31 arctic 836( 576) 305 33 1.3 1.4 1.9 1.4 1.3 UNM-657 1.25 00:29 dcamera 635( 213) 202 53 2.8 1.4 1.8 1.7 2.0 -- 1.57 01:29 dcamera 760( 364) 247 52 2.3 1.9 2.4 2.2 2.1 -- 1.30 05:29 APOLLO 700( 1332) 30 36 4.9 4.2 4.3 4.5 4.7 530 2.50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 38 22 15 350 (N) 114 clear none 17:00 38 20 1 218 (SW) 99 clear none 18:00 37 20 9 344 (NNW) 69 clear none 19:00 35 19 7 356 (N) 91 clear none 20:00 36 17 16 355 (N) 66 clear none 21:00 35 15 14 11 (N) 60 clear none 22:00 35 18 14 357 (N) 38 clear none 23:00 34 20 5 0 (N) 38 clear none 00:00 34 20 11 6 (N) 42 clear none 01:00 37 19 14 352 (N) 41 clear none 02:00 36 19 18 342 (NNW) 25 clear none 03:00 37 21 17 29 (NNE) 61 clear none 04:00 38 19 28 17 (NNE) 82 clear none 05:00 41 22 32 17 (NNE) 55 clear none 06:00 43 19 24 16 (NNE) 43 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
