An axis init solved the problem and there were no further hiccups. I cleaned the drives and there were no moth bits on them. I opened/closed the dome doors several times tonight and it resulted in the left door producing soft knocks when opening but not closing and the right door producing one groan for only one opening and nothing during closing. We were plagued with clouds, humidity, and eventually fog. In the end we only got a few hours on sky and it was only the Apollo program that was truly hosed.
