Wasn’t was poor all night but each science project was able to get time. Clouds stayed around all night but finally started coming in so thick during engineering time that not much was accomplished. We were able to adjust the focus on DIS but then weren’t able to observe any stars to see how best dis focus compared with dcam. We switched to arctic around 3am to try and instrument block but the clouds never let us see a star and we gave up at 5am. The left dome door is making more of a creaking/grinding sounds now, different from the clunks I heard a couple months ago. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:39 dcamera 479( 728) 53 37 8.9 10.4 10.2 10.4 9.3 -- 1.62 19:05 arctic 502( 806) 39 57 8.3 8.8 9.3 8.7 8.5 empty 1.22 20:26 tcamera 498( 823) -16 47 8.3 8.2 8.7 8.1 8.2 -- 1.35 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 51 27 15 261 (W) 269 mstly cldy none 17:00 49 27 11 223 (SW) 211 mstly cldy none 18:00 48 27 17 268 (W) 282 mstly cldy none 19:00 47 27 17 267 (W) 406 mstly cldy none 20:00 47 27 15 268 (W) 234 ptly cldy none 21:00 47 25 16 270 (W) 174 ptly cldy none 22:00 47 25 16 282 (WNW) 169 ptly cldy none 23:00 48 21 14 290 (WNW) 114 cloudy none 00:00 48 21 18 288 (WNW) 128 cloudy none 01:00 48 24 14 265 (W) 162 cloudy none 02:00 47 24 10 265 (W) 154 cloudy none 03:00 47 25 16 266 (W) 144 cloudy none 04:00 47 25 16 283 (WNW) 140 cloudy none 05:00 46 25 12 300 (WNW) 98 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
