Winds were calm and seeing was very good. The clear skies persisted past midnight, at which point clouds started coming in. By 02:30 the observer was getting no data, and with some precip showing on the radar headed our way, we closed the dome. With little hope of improving conditions, the observer logged off by 03:00. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:27 dcamera 442( 571) 33 70 7.1 8.5 8.1 8.4 7.4 - 0.89 19:19 ecamera 302( -447) 91 63 8.5 7.9 7.8 7.7 7.9 ND3 0.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 46 20 3 252 (WSW) 1094 ptly cldy none 17:00 45 20 8 309 (NW) 1108 mstly clr none 18:00 47 21 12 321 (NW) 827 mstly clr none 19:00 47 20 10 298 (WNW) 545 mstly clr none 20:00 47 17 4 331 (NNW) 495 mstly clr none 21:00 47 17 7 353 (N) 503 mstly clr none 22:00 47 13 8 0 (N) 349 mstly clr none 23:00 47 14 5 350 (N) 414 mstly clr none 00:00 46 14 9 35 (NE) 471 mstly clr none 01:00 48 12 6 82 (E) 374 ptly cldy none 02:00 48 11 5 101 (E) 275 cloudy none 03:00 47 9 9 103 (ESE) 195 cloudy none 04:00 47 11 10 108 (ESE) 233 cloudy none 05:00 45 14 14 87 (E) 176 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
