There were high clouds at the beginning of the night but they cleared up after midnight and we had moderate seeing. When moving the DIS gratins for UV02, the detent numbers went in the negative direction but the gratings did not misalign. Apollo needed a restart at dawn but it didn't get cold at all tonight, it was above 8 C. ARCSAT randomly closed around 20:32 and we don't know why. OMG, the Sunspot Thanksgiving feast was delicious!! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:28 dcamera 458( 704) 45 59 8.5 10.7 10.6 10.5 9.0 -- 1.23 18:54 dcamera 290( 415) 2 45 7.6 8.1 8.7 7.7 7.5 -- 1.16 00:20 dcamera 376( 546) -174 50 9.7 9.1 9.4 9.2 9.6 -- 1.23 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 49 24 10 20 (NNE) 548 ptly cldy none 17:00 48 24 7 0 (N) 469 ptly cldy none 18:00 47 24 10 21 (NNE) 356 ptly cldy none 19:00 45 24 17 2 (N) 158 ptly cldy none 20:00 49 22 23 9 (N) 111 ptly cldy none 21:00 49 20 13 12 (NNE) 175 ptly cldy none 22:00 49 15 17 27 (NNE) 87 ptly cldy none 23:00 49 14 19 10 (N) 91 mstly clr none 00:00 49 20 22 34 (NE) 113 mstly clr none 01:00 49 20 18 25 (NNE) 110 clear none 02:00 50 15 15 14 (NNE) 74 clear none 03:00 50 10 12 36 (NE) 51 clear none 04:00 50 16 22 24 (NNE) 94 clear none 05:00 49 17 20 22 (NNE) 94 clear none 06:00 50 11 15 10 (N) 63 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
