Around 23:00 the wind started to pick up, and we had trouble guiding in the direction of the wind, so we avoided westerly targets. Just shy of midnight, the winds started to regularly exceed limits, and we closed. Winds died down again around 01:30 and we opened. We stayed open for the remainder of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:40 dcamera 465( 600) 110 62 7.4 8.5 8.7 8.1 7.5 - 1.10 19:27 ecamera 379( -376) 201 54 7.4 7.7 8.1 7.4 7.4 ND1 1.02 01:50 NICFPS 401( 905) 50 45 5.9 5.8 6.1 5.9 5.9 MK-Ks 0.94 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 50 29 16 268 (W) 938 mstly clr none 17:00 51 30 20 255 (WSW) 772 clear none 18:00 47 29 15 265 (W) 848 clear none 19:00 45 26 19 265 (W) 590 clear none 20:00 45 25 23 265 (W) 629 clear none 21:00 44 25 20 261 (W) 646 clear none 22:00 44 24 26 273 (W) 657 clear none 23:00 44 21 26 285 (WNW) 622 clear none 00:00 43 20 24 284 (WNW) 692 clear none 01:00 43 20 26 282 (WNW) 909 clear none 02:00 43 20 19 300 (WNW) 733 clear none 03:00 43 21 13 274 (W) 662 clear none 04:00 42 21 13 314 (NW) 680 clear none 05:00 41 22 15 269 (W) 672 clear none 06:00 40 22 14 283 (WNW) 703 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
