It was completely clear and, while a little windy, things were good. Seeing was good all night and the Wyoming group (Amy Cavanaugh, Brad Lyke, Jacob McLane, Mara Zimmerman, Riley Jordan, Emily Jensen, with professor Michael Brotheron) are now trained. We did have a few motion errors at az/alt -54/72, -61/65, and -29/37. There weren't any moths on the drives and the wind wasn't causing that much of a problem. Russet suggested that we might start seeing these issues not that things are starting to get cold. I'm hearing that clunking sounds again when I close the left dome door. It occurs 3 times over the course of opening/closing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:02 tcamera 500( 1089) 18 77 11.8 13.6 13.9 13.2 12.2 -- 1.00 19:39 tcamera 575( 1059) -59 71 11.5 11.6 12.2 11.6 11.6 -- 1.13 23:16 APOLLO 325( 1509) 90 31 10.9 10.9 11.5 10.9 11.1 530 1.60 00:27 tcamera 490( 919) -72 68 10.5 10.4 10.9 10.4 10.6 -- 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 58 18 13 258 (WSW) 461 clear none 17:00 60 17 17 255 (WSW) 644 clear none 18:00 58 14 17 259 (W) 954 clear none 19:00 53 10 19 233 (SW) 974 clear none 20:00 53 9 17 237 (WSW) 882 clear none 21:00 54 9 18 235 (SW) 784 clear none 22:00 54 10 22 255 (WSW) 776 clear none 23:00 53 9 17 268 (W) 859 clear none 00:00 52 7 10 269 (W) 676 clear none 01:00 51 6 18 272 (W) 761 clear none 02:00 50 7 14 261 (W) 679 clear none 03:00 49 7 15 255 (WSW) 683 clear none 04:00 48 12 15 242 (WSW) 791 clear none 05:00 47 22 14 256 (WSW) 1038 clear none 06:00 45 33 17 258 (WSW) 1422 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
