Everything worked all right, except that the ARCTIC observer reported extra reflections in the g filter which were not showing up in the r filter. I thought the filter might be in backwards, and when I inspected it that appeared to be true, so I flipped it around. There were some complications in this process which took extra time, and then it turned out the reflections still showed up anyway. So I'm not sure exactly what the cause was, but I thought it was most appropriate to list the time as equipment trouble. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JH07 R I/H 01:43 02:05 Filter struggles ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:46 ecamera 469 ND3 0.81 21:39 ecamera 247( -201) 29 37 13.8 13.4 13.9 13.2 13.8 ND3 1.27 01:12 arctic 430( 907) 40 55 12.4 12.2 12.8 12.2 12.4 SDSS_r 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 62 38 16 263 (W) 328 clear none 17:00 62 38 10 274 (W) 351 clear none 18:00 61 38 8 266 (W) 385 clear none 19:00 58 36 5 263 (W) 470 clear none 20:00 58 34 2 163 (SSE) 390 clear none 21:00 56 33 1 146 (SE) 450 clear none 22:00 56 31 2 177 (S) 378 clear none 23:00 56 30 3 124 (SE) 480 clear none 00:00 55 24 13 84 (E) 298 clear none 01:00 54 21 11 91 (E) 272 mstly clr none 02:00 49 22 26 71 (ENE) 328 clear none 03:00 47 20 17 78 (ENE) 535 mstly clr none 04:00 41 21 24 77 (ENE) 1635 mstly clr none 05:00 39 22 18 73 (ENE) 2085 mstly clr none 06:00 37 22 16 78 (ENE) 1759 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
