Well, mostly. There was a patch of clouds and borderline-high winds in the middle portion of the night, but for the most part it was clear with good seeing. During first half, with the telescope in the northwestern sky, we had one problem with azimuth oscillations while tracking at 01:47 UT, and one problem with a motion error (az and alt) while slewing at 03:12 UT. Both were solved by slewing away and slewing back; if there was a third incident I planned to go look for moth guts on the azimuth drive surface, but that didn't become necessary, and only a couple of minutes of time were lost. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:27 ecamera 376( -60) -8 50 12.7 13.9 14.2 13.7 13.1 ND1 0.96 20:40 ecamera 294( -218) -145 77 12.6 12.7 13.2 12.4 12.4 ND1 0.72 23:12 arctic 425( 927) 34 35 13.1 12.4 12.9 12.5 12.8 SDSS_i 1.18 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 59 43 17 218 (SW) clear none 17:00 60 42 26 211 (SSW) clear none 18:00 59 41 25 218 (SW) clear none 19:00 55 40 21 224 (SW) clear none 20:00 55 40 16 222 (SW) clear none 21:00 55 40 17 221 (SW) clear none 22:00 56 38 17 203 (SSW) mstly clr none 23:00 56 37 20 214 (SW) ptly cldy none 00:00 56 38 26 221 (SW) ptly cldy none 01:00 55 37 23 219 (SW) ptly cldy none 02:00 53 38 19 218 (SW) mstly clr none 03:00 52 42 18 211 (SSW) clear none 04:00 51 36 21 228 (SW) clear none 05:00 50 34 17 231 (SW) clear none 06:00 50 35 19 241 (WSW) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
