We were able to open and have good skies for the first program but were plagued by clouds on the second program. Finally, the humidity hit us after dancing around the limit for hours. We closed during switch over to UW01 and remained closed for 72min until the humidity dipped below 80%. We were able to stay open the rest of the morning. AP01 ceded their time to UW01 in the morning. I parked the dome south to try and melt and remaining snow on the roof. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:12 arctic 903( 533) 303 35 -0.5 -0.7 -0.5 -0.7 -0.4 sdss-r 1.16 19:39 arctic 853( 539) 286 18 -0.4 -0.0 0.4 0.2 0.0 sdss-r 1.48 21:30 ecamera 831( -696) 339 61 0.8 0.5 0.9 0.7 0.4 -- 1.14 06:13 ecamera 785( -742) -63 45 0.1 0.1 0.5 0.3 0.1 -- 2.56 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 31 11 14 353 (N) clear none 17:00 34 15 13 343 (NNW) mstly clr none 18:00 28 11 10 357 (N) mstly clr none 19:00 34 21 18 291 (WNW) mstly cldy none 20:00 31 21 10 305 (NW) mstly clr none 21:00 34 27 17 319 (NW) mstly clr none 22:00 33 28 12 296 (WNW) mstly clr none 23:00 33 28 11 328 (NNW) clear humid 00:00 32 28 11 354 (N) clear humid 01:00 33 28 20 291 (WNW) clear humid 02:00 33 29 17 282 (WNW) clear humid 03:00 33 26 15 281 (W) clear none 04:00 32 22 10 255 (WSW) clear none 05:00 32 20 13 256 (WSW) clear none 06:00 32 16 19 270 (W) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
