Snow started falling at 8 pm and continued through most of the night. During the lulls there was still a lot of snow blowing around so that it was hard to tell if it was still falling or not. Fortunately the power was steady and I was able to run the snow program all night. By morning there was about 4 inches of accumulation, with more approaching on radar that looks like it might be pretty strong. I took the chance to do some more characterization tests with ARCTIC. There was a shutter problem after mounting the instrument but it was easily fixed with a reset. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 26 24 18 250 (WSW) cloudy humid 17:00 26 25 23 239 (WSW) cloudy humid 18:00 26 24 11 252 (WSW) cloudy humid 19:00 26 24 29 237 (WSW) cloudy humid 20:00 26 24 13 258 (WSW) cloudy lt snow 21:00 25 24 16 256 (WSW) cloudy snow 22:00 25 24 20 210 (SSW) cloudy snow 23:00 25 25 25 209 (SSW) cloudy snow 00:00 26 25 32 212 (SSW) cloudy snow 01:00 26 26 30 209 (SSW) cloudy lt snow 02:00 27 26 27 212 (SSW) cloudy lt snow 03:00 27 26 25 238 (WSW) cloudy snow 04:00 27 26 32 243 (WSW) cloudy snow 05:00 27 26 32 222 (SW) cloudy snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
