The observer was able to continue for a while until he ran out of bright stars in his target list. During second half, the rain finally arrived and there was no chance of re-opening. A network problem in the dome disrupted the reporting of telescope temperatures, which made it difficult to focus initially. When the temperature reporting was restored I redid the focus, but then I struggled with clouds. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:25 ecamera 902( 3) -1 42 9.9 602.0 602.0 602.0 602.0 ND3 1.50 20:52 ecamera 875( -172) 342 49 9.3 9.7 10.4 9.6 9.4 Clear 1.74 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 62 39 9 272 (W) 434 clear none 17:00 57 39 16 74 (ENE) 496 clear none 18:00 54 38 15 81 (E) 499 clear none 19:00 51 37 13 87 (E) 464 mstly clr none 20:00 49 37 15 80 (E) 502 ptly cldy none 21:00 49 37 11 88 (E) 525 mstly cldy none 22:00 51 34 9 178 (S) 383 mstly cldy none 23:00 53 31 10 135 (SE) 277 mstly cldy none 00:00 53 27 6 182 (S) 242 cloudy none 01:00 53 24 3 227 (SW) 146 cloudy none 02:00 47 39 18 10 (N) 589 cloudy lt rain 03:00 44 41 15 28 (NNE) cloudy lt rain 04:00 45 42 9 43 (NE) cloudy lt rain 05:00 45 42 10 49 (NE) cloudy lt rain Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
