However, we were able to hit a sucker hole shortly after sunset and stayed open for 2 hours until the rain became too close for comfort. We were able to open again near 1:30 but there was threat of virga starting around 3am. I was running outside every ten minutes (totally got my steps in tonight and a an elevated fear heart rate!) checking on the clouds and we remained safe until near 04:30am when the virga could be seen in the basin. We were not able to reopen. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:32 ecamera 799( 210) 130 62 15.3 18.8 18.3 18.6 17.6 clear 1.38 00:45 ecamera 824( 74) 27 56 14.7 15.6 15.8 15.9 15.8 clear 1.26 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 69 42 10 276 (W) cloudy none 17:00 69 43 7 237 (WSW) cloudy none 18:00 67 42 13 266 (W) cloudy none 19:00 57 42 13 22 (NNE) ptly cldy none 20:00 59 40 5 8 (N) mstly clr none 21:00 59 40 6 318 (NW) mstly clr none 22:00 58 40 3 195 (SSW) ptly cldy none 23:00 58 42 5 127 (SE) mstly cldy none 00:00 59 42 3 196 (SSW) mstly cldy none 01:00 60 40 2 231 (SW) mstly cldy none 02:00 58 41 5 267 (W) mstly cldy none 03:00 57 41 4 282 (WNW) mstly cldy none 04:00 57 40 7 348 (NNW) mstly cldy none 05:00 56 40 1 339 (NNW) cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
