The first half of the night was spend taking a large pointing model which was gorgeous but, enevitably, futile in its use. The guider instrument block had changed and needed to be updated. We lacked the software to conduct a proper instrument block so we did the instrument block by a quick and dirty hand method. We then repeated the pointing model during the second half of the night. This served as excellent training for the Gray minion as this was her first time conducting a pointing model and, really, it's best to do it twice. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 80 41 9 285 (WNW) mstly cldy none 17:00 78 40 8 263 (W) mstly cldy none 18:00 77 39 8 228 (SW) mstly cldy none 19:00 76 37 10 222 (SW) mstly cldy none 20:00 72 37 7 234 (SW) ptly cldy none 21:00 70 37 14 143 (SE) mstly clr none 22:00 68 37 12 109 (ESE) mstly clr none 23:00 69 36 13 138 (SE) clear none 00:00 68 35 13 153 (SSE) clear none 01:00 66 37 10 135 (SE) clear none 02:00 68 37 9 186 (S) ptly cldy none 03:00 66 37 7 183 (S) mstly cldy none 04:00 66 37 6 200 (SSW) mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
