It was clear for several hours and then some clouds moved in. We were able to do basic checks of the telescope and half the instruments, solved some problems and documented others for further work. Our primary achievement was adjusting primary mirror collimation to reduce coma. More work is needed. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:58 NICFPS 508 J 2.38 00:08 NICFPS 564 J 0.82 02:38 NICFPS 703(1558) J 0.49 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 72 48 13 198 (SSW) cloudy lt rain 17:00 71 46 7 111 (ESE) cloudy lt rain 18:00 65 48 13 82 (E) mstly cldy none 19:00 65 43 16 66 (ENE) mstly cldy none 20:00 65 44 10 88 (E) ptly cldy none 21:00 66 45 14 115 (ESE) mstly clr none 22:00 64 45 11 91 (E) clear none 23:00 64 44 14 113 (ESE) clear none 00:00 62 44 13 118 (ESE) clear none 01:00 63 44 4 114 (ESE) mstly clr none 02:00 63 42 5 115 (ESE) ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
