The visiting instrument wanted the tertiary mirror in a significantly different place from other instruments, which made pointing and guiding into a fresh challenge. Thin clouds and variable seeing made science observations difficult, and we couldn't use the adaptive optics, but we were able to get some imaging on a number of targets. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:25 pao 450( -573) 101 50 14.8 15.1 15.7 14.9 14.8 J 1.80 22:47 pao 350( -661) -49 68 16.5 15.5 15.9 15.7 15.9 J 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 66 32 12 271 (W) 1469 mstly cldy lt rain 17:00 68 34 10 182 (S) 1479 mstly cldy none 18:00 60 40 17 87 (E) 1706 ptly cldy none 19:00 61 37 20 125 (SE) 1197 ptly cldy none 20:00 60 37 19 134 (SE) 1204 mstly clr none 21:00 59 36 17 136 (SE) 987 mstly clr none 22:00 58 36 14 180 (S) 1057 mstly clr none 23:00 62 34 13 181 (S) 1336 ptly cldy none 00:00 58 36 16 179 (S) 784 ptly cldy none 01:00 57 37 12 175 (S) 1204 ptly cldy none 02:00 57 36 9 204 (SSW) 1210 ptly cldy none 03:00 56 39 17 184 (S) 1200 ptly cldy none 04:00 56 38 16 203 (SSW) 2406 ptly cldy none 05:00 56 37 15 217 (SW) 1638 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
