However, about an hour before sunset, the clouds began clearing and we focused our enquiring eyes to the sky! The humidity was mighty (85%) during the first half of the night but it did not dampen our spirits! Our enemy fled to 45%...only to return with a vengeance near dawn and attacked us from all fronts in number exceeding 90%. Nonetheless, We were able to persevere and make it 12 deg twilight before shedding tears of dew upon the many keys of our little kingdom and retreated in defeat. Yet, in that time, we saw far and well (almost 1"!) and we mark this night...a victory. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:18 dcamera 703( 834) 51 56 12.1 12.3 13.0 12.2 12.2 -- 1.43 23:41 dcamera 474( 582) -88 52 12.6 11.8 12.3 11.9 12.2 -- 1.16 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 51 22 78 (ENE) 975 cloudy lt rain 17:00 54 51 23 108 (ESE) 987 cloudy lt rain 18:00 56 49 14 83 (E) 1016 ptly cldy lt rain 19:00 56 48 14 86 (E) 1103 mstly clr none 20:00 56 46 13 87 (E) 1140 mstly clr none 21:00 54 49 18 83 (E) 1202 mstly clr none 22:00 54 47 18 76 (ENE) 1107 ptly cldy none 23:00 53 46 10 96 (E) 1251 ptly cldy none 00:00 53 40 25 121 (ESE) 765 ptly cldy none 01:00 55 31 19 137 (SE) 360 ptly cldy none 02:00 55 41 14 168 (SSE) 632 ptly cldy none 03:00 53 42 15 134 (SE) 825 ptly cldy none 04:00 53 45 16 141 (SE) 1126 mstly clr none 05:00 52 50 13 136 (SE) 1552 clear humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
