ARCTIC UL quad is working again!!! Russet came in and worked on some of the ARCTIC engineering tasks as well as checking collimation using the Shack-Hartmann. I worked on some ARCSAT engineering while Russet took care of the 3.5m. After Russet finished with her tasks I took over the 3.5m engineering and did a large pointing model. I let Ted loose on ARCSAT to better learn the system and test the new software and guiding. I checked pointing on NA2 after implementing pointing model. 3 stars in 3 different locations across the sky, all dead center on NA2 guider. I checked pointing at NA1 port and adjusted the tilt coef appropriately. I was going to take Joes Abell 78 but it hits an altitude limit at just past 04:10 I took dome flats in sdss r & g as well as sky flats in both filters for Joe (we missed these earlier). TSPEC Aux tank was running just a little above the max (81.8, 80.0 max). I filled it Monday but maybe didn't do a good fill. I re-filled it again this morning. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:46 shack 625( 1571) 31 64 17.1 17.6 17.9 17.4 17.2 -- 1.00 22:44 guider 350( 868) 173 62 16.9 17.0 17.5 16.8 16.6 clear 1.10 03:07 arctic 420( 880) 83 84 16.9 16.1 16.6 16.2 16.2 MSSSO R 0.64 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 76 43 12 218 (SW) 1562 mstly clr none 17:00 76 43 9 218 (SW) 1457 mstly clr none 18:00 69 41 5 259 (W) 1406 mstly clr none 19:00 69 41 9 235 (SW) 1435 mstly clr none 20:00 66 40 5 254 (WSW) 1422 clear none 21:00 65 39 2 241 (WSW) 1409 clear none 22:00 62 39 7 204 (SSW) 1383 clear none 23:00 63 39 14 163 (SSE) 1622 clear none 00:00 62 38 13 179 (S) 1549 clear none 01:00 63 39 8 178 (S) 1526 clear none 02:00 62 39 9 193 (SSW) 1481 clear none 03:00 59 44 11 163 (SSE) 1791 clear none 04:00 62 41 8 184 (S) 1694 clear none 05:00 61 40 7 189 (S) 1386 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
