Managed to open for a few hour first half of the night, but the thin clouds were not very condusive to IR observing. Closed for a while around midnight due to a system bearing down on us. Fortunately, it broke up before getting over us, and we were able to open again for the second half of the night. Skies grew increasingly clear through dawn. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:09 tcamera 365( 917) -76 29 14.1 16.1 16.3 16.0 15.2 Ks 1.44 00:33 dcamera 503( 743) 176 63 15.5 14.5 14.8 14.3 14.3 -- 1.11 01:58 dcamera 451( 673) 343 72 14.5 14.3 14.6 14.2 14.2 -- 1.01 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 56 49 7 86 (E) 1637 cloudy none 17:00 63 46 12 222 (SW) 1651 cloudy none 18:00 66 45 14 281 (W) 1761 cloudy lt rain 19:00 62 43 8 260 (W) 1557 cloudy none 20:00 60 45 10 279 (W) 1774 mstly cldy none 21:00 58 44 7 274 (W) 2057 ptly cldy none 22:00 57 44 7 358 (N) 1368 mstly clr none 23:00 57 43 7 332 (NNW) 1083 mstly clr none 00:00 59 41 5 271 (W) 1034 mstly clr none 01:00 60 41 5 252 (WSW) 1050 ptly cldy none 02:00 58 42 3 218 (SW) 1084 mstly clr none 03:00 57 44 6 207 (SSW) 1332 mstly clr none 04:00 53 44 6 129 (SE) 1191 clear none 05:00 55 44 9 182 (S) 1218 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
