As Destroyer of Moons enters the ring, she shouts to her opponent: "It was mostly clear just before sunset, but clouds started moving in as the sun went down. We were able to focus and the observers got a few usable images, but the clouds kept getting thicker and then there was some radar to go with them. I closed for a while, then the radar retreated and the clouds thinned, so I tried again. This time I got a single image before the clouds closed in and a whole new radar blip appeared. So I closed again without listing this time as used." The Terror of Texas enters the take down of sky and proclaims: We were able to open again at 03:40 and remain open the rest of the night. Seeing was moderate to poor but this was due to observing at high airmass. The battle for observations continues. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:28 arctic 600( 666) 49 45 6.3 7.9 8.0 7.8 7.1 r 1.02 20:30 arctic 600( 661) 48 45 6.4 7.8 8.0 7.8 7.0 g 1.07 02:53 ecamera 461( -910) -41 45 1.6 3.3 3.8 3.2 2.4 ND1 1.50 03:26 ecamera 557( -847) -45 36 1.4 2.5 3.1 2.5 1.8 ND1 2.40 Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 46 12 27 253 (WSW) 1499 ptly cldy none 17:00 51 13 31 266 (W) 1581 ptly cldy none 18:00 48 13 30 267 (W) 1322 mstly clr none 19:00 47 11 31 268 (W) 1442 mstly clr none 20:00 44 14 23 263 (W) 1116 ptly cldy none 21:00 43 15 18 273 (W) 1136 ptly cldy none 22:00 42 15 22 279 (W) 1141 mstly cldy none 23:00 41 16 17 257 (WSW) 1025 mstly cldy none 00:00 41 18 23 268 (W) 846 mstly cldy none 01:00 40 18 17 266 (W) 797 mstly cldy none 02:00 38 21 14 318 (NW) 814 mstly cldy none 03:00 37 24 12 315 (NW) 853 ptly clr none 04:00 35 23 14 292 (WNW) 850 clear none 05:00 34 21 20 271 (W) 908 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
