There was much tilting of heads to this phenomenon. It was likely a ploy by Zeus in response to our gift of the all mighty La-Zor last night. Seeing was good-moderate throughout the night and nothing caught fire by lightning or other means. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:56 arctic 587( 703) -175 52 8.4 9.0 9.9 8.8 8.4 UNM-661 1.10 20:47 arctic 597( 670) -169 51 7.8 8.2 9.0 8.0 7.8 SDSS-r 1.10 21:10 arctic 597( 653) -64 56 7.8 7.9 8.7 7.8 7.7 SDSS-r 0.91 21:24 arctic 597( 647) -67 5 3 7.7 7.7 8.5 7.7 7.6 UNM-659 1.09 22:55 arctic 525( 542) -6 56 7.3 7.1 7.8 7.2 7.0 UNM-661 0.95 00:39 dcamera 475( 270) 125 66 5.8 5.8 6.5 5.7 5.4 -- 1.16 02:56 dcamera 488( 213) 166 80 4.5 4.6 5.2 4.6 4.4 -- 1.25 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 15 18 241 (WSW) 1150 clear none 17:00 55 12 13 257 (WSW) 1233 clear none 18:00 53 9 29 248 (WSW) 1626 clear none 19:00 52 8 23 261 (W) 1669 clear none 20:00 49 8 20 261 (W) 1000 clear none 21:00 47 9 18 281 (W) 3763 clear none 22:00 46 8 19 269 (W) 1223 clear none 23:00 46 7 19 277 (W) 827 clear none 00:00 45 6 16 276 (W) 743 clear none 01:00 43 7 15 298 (WNW) 725 clear none 02:00 42 10 17 297 (WNW) 866 clear none 03:00 41 11 6 326 (NW) 929 clear none 04:00 40 14 6 352 (N) 1176 clear none 05:00 40 16 4 13 (NNE) 1093 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
