We were not able to open until 20:40 when the dust and wind had calmed down to safe levels. The inside dust sensor was not working so I was more cautious about dust and stayed closed longer than I would have normally in order to make sure the outside dust levels were safe. Once the dust and wind died down we had a nice night with moderate seeing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:48 ecamera 841( 69) -16 49 13.8 15.1 14.6 15.1 14.2 ND1 1.01 20:59 ecamera 664( -200) -17 51 12.7 13.3 13.8 13.2 12.8 clear 1.18 23:18 arctic 505( 757) -64 45 11.5 11.6 12.2 11.6 11.4 SDSS-r 1.75 01:19 ecamera 587( -453) 36 55 9.5 9.9 10.6 9.8 9.5 Clear 1.19 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 22 16 256 (WSW) 1006 clear dust 17:00 61 20 24 269 (W) 1012 clear dust 18:00 62 20 27 235 (SW) 2100 clear dust 19:00 60 20 21 215 (SW) 4493 clear dust 20:00 57 11 26 227 (SW) 3321 clear dust 21:00 57 11 22 246 (WSW) 2907 clear none 22:00 56 10 12 249 (WSW) 2137 clear none 23:00 54 9 13 244 (WSW) 1740 clear none 00:00 53 7 18 254 (WSW) 1232 clear none 01:00 51 5 10 251 (WSW) 1398 clear none 02:00 50 9 13 265 (W) 1352 clear none 03:00 48 11 18 265 (W) 1116 clear none 04:00 47 13 16 262 (W) 1135 clear none 05:00 46 14 16 248 (WSW) 980 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
