Unfortunately, I must have done something to anger the gods as a motion error appeared in the alt drives (az=282, alt=34) at 23:04. I executed a tcc axis stop and start but the motion error appeared again immediately. I then cleaned the drives and everything was fine. 12 min was lost. We showed our superior power by shooting forth the laser to the moon! The gods feared us and granted us clear skies, moderate seeing, and no other telescope problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UV05 D T/H 23:04 23:16 Az motion error. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:57 dcamera 480( 730) -40 61 13.4 14.7 14.8 14.9 13.8 -- 1.22 21:07 dcamera 568( 727) -63 49 12.3 12.8 13.3 12.7 12.6 -- 1.50 00:13 APOLLO 450( 1453) 36 21 10.6 11.2 11.8 11.2 11.0 530 2.00 00:56 ecamera 561( -456) 48 72 9.9 10.6 11.2 10.5 10.1 ND2 1.02 02:44 ecamera 642( -435) -52 63 9.3 9.3 9.9 9.4 9.3 Clear 1.15 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 65 18 14 252 (WSW) 1066 mstly clr none 17:00 62 17 18 257 (WSW) 1281 mstly clr none 18:00 64 18 22 221 (SW) 1988 mstly clr none 19:00 60 15 23 239 (WSW) 6135 mstly clr none 20:00 56 11 21 246 (WSW) 1648 mstly clr none 21:00 55 11 19 249 (WSW) 1439 clear none 22:00 55 10 21 257 (WSW) 1262 clear none 23:00 54 11 19 236 (SW) 1217 clear none 00:00 54 10 17 245 (WSW) 1048 clear none 01:00 52 10 14 264 (W) 925 clear none 02:00 50 11 17 260 (W) 959 clear none 03:00 49 14 11 264 (W) 996 clear none 04:00 49 15 12 265 (W) 991 clear none 05:00 48 15 16 266 (W) 1107 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
