Dry, windy, and dusty. We were not able to open until 23:15 when the dust dropped down to 5K counts. While wind remained high, we were able to stay open the rest of the night with good seeing. Clouds starting rolling in around 1:00am and cleared near twilight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:29 arctic 359( 485) 16 47 7.5 9.2 10.2 9.0 8.1 SDSS-r 1.30 23:20 arctic 444( 476) 30 78 6.7 7.6 8.7 7.5 7.0 SDSS-r 1.00 01:17 ecamera 573( -669) 311 35 5.3 5.6 6.4 5.6 5.3 clear 1.50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 58 15 32 228 (SW) 11506 clear dust 17:00 58 15 28 238 (WSW) 9540 clear dust 18:00 57 12 33 237 (WSW) 16243 clear dust 19:00 53 10 32 218 (SW) 20280 clear dust 20:00 50 10 19 216 (SW) 24643 clear dust 21:00 48 12 26 235 (SW) 14690 clear dust 22:00 47 15 25 253 (WSW) 6199 clear dust 23:00 46 16 28 256 (WSW) 5151 mstly clr none 00:00 45 19 24 262 (W) 3409 ptly cldy none 01:00 43 20 19 243 (WSW) 2900 ptly cldy none 02:00 42 21 20 232 (SW) 2990 ptly cldy none 03:00 40 20 14 268 (W) 3511 ptly cldy none 04:00 39 20 17 266 (W) 3114 ptly cldy none 05:00 39 22 21 242 (WSW) 3053 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
