Russet checked the DIS slitviewer focus and made a change. We had good seeing tonight as well so even a small change was worthwhile. We then checked the collimation with the Shack Hartman. Next we did an instrument block for DIS red camera I did a 100 point pointing model and implemented. Checked pointing with NA2 (DIS) Checked pointing with Echelle (adjusted) New DIS slitmask created for 1.5,2.0,0.9, and 5.0 slits ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:58 dcamera 365( 482) 89 53 10.3 12.0 11.9 11.9 11.2 -- 1.34 21:53 shack 550( 1114) 127 64 9.4 10.1 10.6 9.8 9.5 -- 1.00 22:59 guider 434( 564) -12 75 9.8 9.5 10.0 9.3 9.1 R 1.16 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 56 14 7 232 (SW) 706 clear none 17:00 54 12 10 262 (W) 671 clear none 18:00 55 12 10 248 (WSW) 707 clear none 19:00 54 12 13 262 (W) 761 clear none 20:00 51 9 11 257 (WSW) 854 clear none 21:00 49 8 13 232 (SW) 1079 clear none 22:00 50 6 10 258 (WSW) 929 clear none 23:00 50 7 8 221 (SW) 910 clear none 00:00 51 9 7 52 (NE) 1002 mstly clr none 01:00 51 10 13 10 (N) 1078 clear none 02:00 47 11 17 66 (ENE) 891 clear none 03:00 46 15 26 59 (ENE) 747 clear none 04:00 47 16 13 37 (NE) 726 clear none 05:00 45 15 22 56 (NE) 738 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
