Humidity rose during the second half of the night but we remained open, even with the pesky orographic clouds. The last program really got clobbered by the borderline humidity and the local orographic clouds really prevented getting any useful data at all. I chalked the time up to loss due to weather even though we did have the dome open. We got about 10 mins of one star and then the humidity just got too bad, along with the clouds, and I decided to call it for the night at 04:40. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:20 ecamera 687( -481) 126 69 5.4 7.6 7.3 7.6 6.4 ND1 1.15 23:28 APOLLO 450( 1106) -52 63 4.9 5.0 5.6 5.2 4.9 -- 1.20 00:21 arctic 555( 417) -57 65 3.8 4.2 4.8 4.1 3.8 sdss r 0.89 02:16 ecamera 662( -739) 163 61 2.6 2.9 3.8 2.7 2.4 ND1 0.92 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 47 21 12 235 (SW) 1217 mstly cldy none 17:00 45 24 11 208 (SSW) 1284 mstly cldy none 18:00 44 26 9 194 (SSW) 1341 mstly cldy lt rain 19:00 43 30 10 174 (S) 1358 ptly cldy none 20:00 42 31 9 179 (S) 1750 mstly clr none 21:00 42 30 7 189 (S) 1755 mstly clr none 22:00 40 30 8 166 (SSE) 1691 mstly clr none 23:00 43 31 14 217 (SW) 1912 mstly clr none 00:00 41 31 15 209 (SSW) 1720 clear none 01:00 39 31 12 196 (SSW) 1584 clear none 02:00 37 31 7 257 (WSW) 1558 ptly cldy humid 03:00 36 32 4 275 (W) 1451 mstly cldy humid 04:00 37 32 3 241 (WSW) 1569 mstly cldy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
