The next exposure looked like a bias again (afocus.0008). I took a bias frame (afocus.0011) and compared it to the checkout bias, images looked different, the background is much smoother on the later frame than the checkout bias. I went up to check the camera shutter and found the LED closest to the instrument lit. I reset it and the camera worked fine. No other problems and ARCTIC behaved fine after the shutter reset. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SU01 R I/H 00:10 00:40 ARCTIC shutter needed to be reset ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:37 dcamera 577( 706) 189 70 9.9 12.4 11.9 12.5 12.1 -- 1.10 18:41 NA2gdr 3025(25025) 190 70 9.9 12.3 11.8 12.3 10.8 clear 1.10 19:28 NA2gdr 3025(25025) 207 66 10.0 10.9 10.8 10.5 9.8 clear 1.10 00:48 arctic 542( 637) 224 75 9.8 8.9 9.3 9.0 9.1 sdss g 0.87 00:52 NA2gdr -472(29527) 226 74 9.8 8.9 9.3 9.0 9.1 clear 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 55 10 12 255 (WSW) 1141 mstly clr none 17:00 52 7 9 243 (WSW) 1023 mstly clr none 18:00 50 4 8 250 (WSW) 923 mstly clr none 19:00 50 4 8 252 (WSW) 845 mstly clr none 20:00 50 4 12 233 (SW) 876 mstly clr none 21:00 47 3 15 236 (SW) 755 mstly clr none 22:00 49 5 14 265 (W) 716 ptly cldy none 23:00 49 3 11 262 (W) 583 ptly cldy none 00:00 50 3 15 297 (WNW) 511 ptly cldy none 01:00 49 3 14 297 (WNW) 569 mstly cldy none 02:00 48 2 12 302 (WNW) 619 mstly cldy none 03:00 49 4 10 288 (WNW) 626 mstly cldy none 04:00 49 4 6 257 (WSW) 564 ptly cldy none 05:00 48 2 9 216 (SW) 521 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
