By 22:00 it had become cloudy and very windy. While gusts were at 40mph, we were able to stay open given that we pointed directly away from the wind. Dust counts increased to warning levels for about an hour before dropping again. Around 05:45 the dust spiked inside the dome. I closed as quickly as possible but 1.0um dust counts went up to 5000. No problems tonight ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:25 dcamera 726( 523) -65 58 5.1 5.8 5.6 5.5 5.2 -- 1.70 23:37 dcamera 525( 256) -2 57 4.7 4.5 4.9 4.7 4.5 -- 1.50 Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
