The clouds cleared quickly, but the humidity and wind stuck around for a while. We were eventually able to open, but we had poor seeing. I took advantage of the high winds, and took dome air flow data. Details in the email. In addition: zeroed the rotator reset axes controllers took tspec data took ARCTIC darks tested ARCTIC filter wheels and updated PR updated/edited documentation (mostly NICFPS and some housecleaning items) short pointing model, reduced by not implemented. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:58 arctic 644( -109) 103 67 -8.4 -7.8 -6.5 -7.9 -8.1 SDSS_r 2.60 05:10 guider 603( -98) 58 71 -5.4 -6.8 -6.2 -6.7 -6.6 Clear 2.40 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 22 17 28 68 (ENE) 244 mstly cldy lt snow 17:00 20 16 27 71 (ENE) 130 ptly cldy humid 18:00 18 16 26 56 (NE) 114 ptly cldy humid 19:00 18 17 19 70 (ENE) 92 clear humid 20:00 18 18 18 76 (ENE) 3148 clear humid 21:00 18 17 15 81 (E) 96 clear humid 22:00 17 15 17 69 (ENE) 131 clear humid 23:00 17 14 21 69 (ENE) 113 clear humid 00:00 17 11 11 88 (E) 129 clear none 01:00 17 6 24 59 (ENE) 281 clear none 02:00 18 -1 23 65 (ENE) 257 clear none 03:00 20 -2 16 57 (ENE) 338 clear none 04:00 23 0 14 56 (NE) 505 clear none 05:00 21 3 9 30 (NNE) 343 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
